Louisiana tourism proposal suggests loyalty card for residents

A proposal has been presented to Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser to promote state tourism through a concept called the ‘Louisiana Card’. The idea functions similarly to a loyalty card used by businesses, where participants receive a ‘punch’ for visiting various state events, celebrations, venues, and experiences.

The goal of the initiative is to encourage Louisiana residents to explore their own state more deeply. Proponents suggest that by experiencing the state's unique way of life firsthand, residents will become better ambassadors for Louisiana when interacting with visitors, ultimately benefiting the local tourism industry.
