Louisville hosts various events for Hispanic Heritage Month

The United States is observing Hispanic Heritage Month, a 31-day period of recognition that was originally established in 1989 under President George H. W. Bush.

In Louisville, various community events are scheduled to celebrate Latin culture. Foko will host Timba Night on September 25, featuring Cuban music dance lessons and food from Pacaya. The venue's gallery, La Galería, will also host the “De Aquí y De Allá” fine art exhibition on October 2, showcasing works by Latin artists.

Other upcoming festivities include the Louisville Taco Festival at Fourth Street Live on October 3 and 4, which will feature over 20 vendors, live music, and Lucha Libre wrestling. Additionally, Foko will host a Mambo Weekender on October 9 and 10, offering mambo and salsa dancing workshops.
