Loulé joins national network to support emerging artists
The municipality of Loulé has become one of 11 effective members of the Emerging Artists Projects Network. This initiative aims to connect municipal support programs and bring young artists from different regions closer together.
Promoted by Gerador in partnership with the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ) and MOVY, the network offers free training, artistic residencies, and opportunities for paid professional participation. Initial residencies are planned for Lisbon and Spain. A digital platform is expected to launch in February to facilitate connections between creators and cultural organizations.
In addition to Loulé, current members include Alcanena, Cascais, Funchal, Setúbal, and Viana do Castelo. The project aims to expand to at least 25 municipalities by the end of 2026, with a particular focus on low-density territories.
