Loulé municipality awards €750,000 contract to refurbish Quarteira’s Carlos Gravata sports pavilion
The Loulé City Council has awarded a contract worth roughly €750,000 for the first phase of maintenance and rehabilitation of the Carlos Gravata Sports Pavilion in Quarteira. The works will focus on a deep renovation of the pavilion’s changing rooms, which are part of the EB2/3 D. Dinis school complex. The contract specifies a four‑month execution period, with all non‑changing‑room interventions required to be completed by the end of August to preserve normal school and club sports activities.
The pavilion, described as being in a state of severe degradation, serves hundreds of children and youths daily for school and community sports. Mayor Telmo Pinto highlighted the project as a long‑awaited investment aimed at improving the quality and safety of local sports facilities for the community.
