Loulé to host seventh Algarve Environment and Vegan Fair

The seventh edition of the Feira do Ambiente e Vegan do Algarve (FAVA), described as Portugal’s largest vegan fair, will take place in Loulé from September 18 to 20. Held at the Municipal Park, the event covers 14,000 square meters and features over 100 exhibitors across 20 sectors, including agriculture, food, books, and crafts.

The program includes more than 100 free activities, such as showcookings, workshops on nutrition and food waste reduction, and various entertainment options like theater, music, and dance. For children, dedicated zones will offer activities such as origami, slime workshops, and giant chess.

Organizers aim to serve 5,000 plant-based meals through approximately 30 food stalls and trucks. The event emphasizes sustainability by avoiding fuel generators, using compostable or reusable tableware, and distributing reusable fabric bags instead of plastic.
