Del Río stated that her decision was personal and intended to close a professional cycle rather than being related to recent layoffs within the network's news division. She expressed gratitude for her time at the company, noting that while she feels “a little sad” to leave her colleagues, she received a professional opportunity that was “too good to say no to.”
