Mabel, the mother of singer Lourdes Fernández (known professionally as Lowrdez), has addressed the online harassment her daughter faces regarding her physical appearance. Speaking on the program ‘Los Profesionales’ with host Flor de la V, Mabel discussed the impact of body-shaming on her daughter following Lowrdez’s recent social media posts defending herself against critics.

Mabel, who is a medical doctor, noted that she encounters similar issues frequently in her professional practice, particularly with young patients facing metabolic problems and the psychological toll of external opinions. She emphasized that “the only gaze that matters is one’s own,” encouraging individuals to move past the judgment of others.
