Lourdes “N” charged with identity theft and real estate fraud in Querétaro

Lourdes “N” has been formally charged with identity usurpation and specific fraud following a real estate scam in the Milenio III residential area of Querétaro. According to the Querétaro State Attorney General's Office, the suspect allegedly impersonated the legitimate owner of a property to conduct a sale exceeding one million pesos.

During the transaction at a local notary, the suspect reportedly used a falsified passport containing the real owner's information. The buyer made payments through bank transfers and cash deliveries before discovering inconsistencies in the cadastral keys and the identity of the seller.

A control judge has ordered justified preventive detention for the accused and granted one month for complementary investigations. The suspect maintains the presumption of innocence as the legal process continues.
