Lousã hosts 8th European Commission summer school

The town of Lousã hosted the 8th edition of the European Commission's summer school, known as ‘Summer CEmp’, from August 26 to 29. The initiative was designed for 40 higher education students aged 18 to 30.

The program featured debates on various European Union agenda items, including global warming, European governance, climate change, forest protection, biodiversity, migration, and the impact of artificial intelligence and digital algorithms.

Notable speakers included Maria Luís Albuquerque, the Portuguese Commissioner for Financial Services, Union Savings and Investments, who discussed the challenges and opportunities facing the EU's financial future. Additionally, Alma Ní Choigligh, the Irish Ambassador to Portugal, participated in a session regarding community funding.
