Louvre Museum hosts Spanish film cycle with Rossy de Palma

The Louvre Museum in Paris will host a film cycle titled ‘¡I LOuVrE Mucho!’ from October 9 to 18, 2026. Curated with actress Rossy de Palma, the program is designed to complement the museum’s focus on Spanish art through its ‘Zurbarán’ and ‘Sculpter la couleur’ exhibitions.

The film schedule includes several notable works of Spanish cinema. On October 10, the program features Luis Buñuel’s ‘Viridiana’ and Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren’s ‘20. 000 especies de abejas’. Other scheduled screenings include Pedro Almodóvar’s ‘Kika’, Fernando Fernán Gómez’s ‘Le voyage vers nulle part’, Pilar Miró’s ‘Le Chien du jardinier’, and Victor Erice’s ‘L'Esprit de la ruche’.

Some screenings will be introduced by experts from Cahiers du cinéma or Sorbonne Université. The film series is part of a broader seasonal emphasis on Spanish culture at the museum, which also includes the ‘Siècles d'or et d'ombre’ concert series.
