Love is Blind Netherlands: Contestant updates and production details

The first season of Netflix’s ‘Love is Blind: Netherlands’ features five couples: Mika and Jurriaan Schipper, Jaslynn Netscher and Ludo Jacobs, Mirella de Bruin and Gino Zandbergen, Meinou Diana van Beek and Marc-Vincent Spanjersberg, and Yasemin Kuskal and Miguel Garcia.

Mika and Jurriaan Schipper appear to be continuing their relationship despite initial tensions regarding Mika’s background and Jurriaan’s comments about interracial dating. Both have released statements indicating they are building a life together.

Regarding production elements, the signature golden wine glasses used by contestants serve a functional purpose. Series creator Chris Coelen noted they act as a branding element, while the opaque nature of the glasses assists in the editing process by masking discrepancies in drink levels during scene transitions.
