The global reality television phenomenon 'Love Island' is expanding with the launch of 'Love Island Adria' on the VOYO platform, scheduled to premiere on September 13. The show follows a format where singles live in a luxury villa, isolated from the outside world, attempting to find partners to avoid elimination.

For this regional version, production has established a villa near the coastal town of Alcalá on the southern coast of Tenerife. The location features extensive amenities including a pool, outdoor gym, and various intimate spaces designed to facilitate interaction among contestants, including participants from Slovenia.

The franchise has grown from a British experiment in 2015 into a global brand with over 25 international versions. Beyond television ratings, the format has become a significant cultural driver on social media platforms like TikTok and X, often serving as a launchpad for contestants to become major social media influencers.
