Alannah Keyser faces backlash over resurfaced racial slur video on Love Island USA

Alannah Keyser, a 21‑year‑old University of Southern California film student, was introduced as one of six new Casa Amor bombshells on the June 21, 2026 episode of Love Island USA (Peacock). Hours after her debut, a short, undated video circulated online that appears to show her mouthing the N‑word while singing along to a song at a Miami party. Screenshots of an old Instagram comment also allegedly containing the slur were shared.

Fans quickly demanded her removal, echoing earlier incidents in the series where contestants such as Vasana Montgomery, Yulissa Escobar and Cierra Ortega were expelled after similar controversies. The network has not confirmed any decision; a Peacock representative was unavailable for comment. Some viewers defended Keyser, with a friend arguing the video might be fabricated and that the slur’s usage was a product of past cultural norms.

The episode’s Casa Amor twist, meant to test couples’ loyalty, has become secondary to the controversy, and the show’s producers have not yet addressed whether Keyser will remain in the competition.
