=LOVE performs new single on Music Station amid chart success

The Japanese idol group =LOVE, produced by Rino Sashihara, performed their new single ‘Koi, Hajimemashita.’ live on the television program ‘Music Station.’ The performance triggered significant social media engagement, with related terms trending shortly after the broadcast.

The group is experiencing substantial commercial success. Their 21st single, ‘Koi, Hajimemashita.’, achieved record-breaking initial shipments of over 590,000 copies, with total shipments now exceeding 600,000. On the August 27 Apple Music ‘Top 100: Japan’ chart, the group saw four songs enter the rankings simultaneously: ‘Koi, Hajimemashita.’ at number 8, ‘Tokubetchu, Shite’ at 21, ‘Gekiyaku Chudoku’ at 61, and ‘Zettai Idol Yamenaide’ at 85.

Looking ahead, =LOVE is scheduled to hold a 9th-anniversary concert at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO in October and has announced a highly anticipated performance at the Tokyo Dome in January of next year.
