=LOVE reaches first 500,000 weekly sales milestone
The Japanese idol group =LOVE has achieved a new career milestone with their 21st single, ‘Koi, Hajimemashita.’ The release debuted at number one on the Oricon Weekly Single Ranking, selling 515,000 copies in its first week.
This performance marks the group’s first time exceeding 500,000 copies in a single week, surpassing their previous record set by ‘Gekiyaku Chudoku’ in April 2026. The single also reached a new record for cumulative sales, exceeding 415,000 copies within its first week. This marks the group's eighth number-one single and their 21st consecutive entry into the Oricon Top 10.
Produced by Rino Sashihara, the summer-themed track has also seen success on digital platforms, with multiple =LOVE songs appearing in the Apple Music Top 100 Japan chart. The group has announced upcoming performances at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO in October 2026 and a concert at the Tokyo Dome in January 2027.
