Lovehoney study examines average male sexual duration by age

A 2025 study by Lovehoney indicates that the duration of sexual intercourse for men varies significantly based on age and other factors such as alcohol consumption and frequency of sexual activity.

For men aged 18 to 24, the average duration is reported to be 16.14 minutes. Within this demographic, 5% report lasting between one and two minutes, 13% last between three and five minutes, and 5% can last longer than an hour.

Sexual health expert and nurse Sarah Mulindwa notes that there is no single correct duration for sexual sessions. Research suggests that session length typically peaks in a man's late 20s to early 30s and tends to decrease gradually as men age.
