Lovlina Borgohain Prompts Glasgow Restaurant to Fix Missing Northeast on India Map

Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain, a member of India's boxing team at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, noticed that a map of India displayed on napkins and outside the Glasgow eatery Mister Singh's India omitted the country's Northeast region. She said, "Please don't take this the wrong way. I felt a little hurt… the Northeast is missing," highlighting the personal impact of the error.

The restaurant's management quickly accepted the mistake, posted an apology on Instagram and pledged to correct the map and its logo. Boxing Federation of India President Ajay Singh confirmed that the restaurant has agreed to make the changes, noting there was no confrontation and the issue was resolved amicably.
