Lovro Mager joins AEK Athens, cites coach Marco Nicolits as key reason

Croatian midfielder Lovro Mager, 28, has completed his transfer to Greek club AEK Athens. After a friendly against Samsunspor, Mager said his main motivation for signing was the presence of coach Marco Nicolits, who convinced him that the club could compete in the Champions League.

Mager highlighted his versatility, stating he can operate in several central positions, from attacking roles to deeper midfield spots. He added that the team's recent domestic title and the ambition to reach the Champions League group stage are central to his objectives at AEK.
