Lovro Zvonarek signs for Portuguese club Estrela da Amadora
Croatian youth international forward Lovro Zvonarek has left Bayern Munich and signed a three‑year contract with Club Football Estrela da Amadora, a team that returned to Portugal's Primeira Liga in 2023. The move follows loan spells at Sturm Graz and Grasshopper and a €1.5 million fee, after Bayern purchased the 16‑year‑old from Slaven Belupo for €1.8 million but could not secure regular first‑team action. Estrela, revived after financial collapse and recent merger with Sintra Football, aims to stabilise and develop talent, with German investors including Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels and Yann Sommer planning a takeover and targeting a top‑eight league finish. Zvonarek chose the Portuguese side over offers from Croatian clubs Dinamo Zagreb and Rijeka, seeking playing time in a league noted for developing young players.
