Low Lake Zurich water levels impact Expovina wine fair

Historically low water levels in Lake Zurich have forced organizers of the Expovina wine fair to alter their plans. The Zurich Lake Shipping Company (ZSG) notified the event organizers that four large exhibition ships would be unavailable for the fair, which is scheduled to run from October 29 to November 12.

To accommodate the shortage, a 1,000-square-meter pavilion will be constructed at Bürkliplatz, allowing the event to take place simultaneously on land and water. While the number of ships has been reduced from ten to six, the fair will proceed with over 200 exhibitors and approximately 4,000 wines from 34 countries.
