Low temperature alerts issued for Pilar and La Plata

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) has issued a yellow alert for low temperatures in Pilar and the northern zone of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. On Monday, August 24, 2026, morning temperatures in Pilar reached approximately 6°C. While sunny conditions are expected, minimum temperatures are forecasted to remain between 5°C and 7°C in the coming days, with maximums reaching 16°C or 17°C.

In La Plata, Tuesday is expected to be partially cloudy with temperatures ranging between 6°C and 13°C. However, a warming trend is anticipated starting Wednesday, as temperatures are expected to rise progressively, signaling an end to the recent period of extreme cold in the region.
