Low Tuck Kwong Tops Indonesia’s Forbes Billionaire List 2026

Low Tuck Kwong, founder of Bayan Resources, reclaimed the top spot on Indonesia’s Forbes billionaire ranking for August 2026 with an estimated net worth of US$16.7 billion, placing him 168th globally. He edged out fellow tycoon Prajogo Pangestu, whose wealth stands at US$16.1 billion.

The top‑ten list also includes R. Budi Hartono (US$15.7 bn), Anthoni Salim (US$10.6 bn), the Tahir family (US$8.8 bn), Sri Prakash Lohia (US$8.3 bn), Otto Toto Sugiri (US$7.4 bn) and Marina Budiman (US$5.3 bn) – the latter two marking the growing influence of the data‑centre sector. The remaining spots are held by Lim Hariyanto Wijaya Sarwono (US$4.5 bn), Theodore Rachmat (US$4.3 bn) and Sukanto Tanoto (US$4.1 bn). While natural‑resource industries such as coal, energy and petrochemicals remain the primary source of wealth, the entry of data‑centre executives signals a shift toward digital infrastructure in Indonesia’s elite wealth composition.
