Lower Austria launches new competence atlas to boost workforce skills

Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner and Labor Councilor Susanne Rosenkranz hosted the “Economy and Labor in Dialogue” summit in Wiener Neustadt to address future workforce requirements. The event, held at Triumph International AG, brought together representatives from the AMS, Chamber of Labor, Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Industries, and the Social Ministry Service.

A central outcome of the summit was the presentation of the newly restructured “NÖ Kompetenzatlas.” This platform is designed to serve as a central overview for competence orientation within the state, helping workers identify qualification and further training opportunities to improve their market prospects.

Governor Mikl-Leitner emphasized a strategy of integrating digitalization with human expertise, stating that the goal is to utilize technological opportunities while keeping people at the center of economic success. The initiative aims to ensure long-term competitiveness and occupational safety through targeted skill development.
