Lower Austria traffic accidents prompt fire brigade rescues

On 10 July 2026 a motorcycle left the B15 near Donnerskirchen in Lower Austria, fell off the road and became trapped between the safety barrier and the carriageway. The rider was lightly injured and treated by emergency medical services. The Donnerskirchen fire department, with 15 firefighters, used a rope winch and excavated earth to free the bike, then removed it with a trailer vehicle. Police and ambulance crews also attended the scene.

On 11 July 2026 near Trübensee in the Tulln district, a 32‑year‑old driver collided with a tractor, causing his car to become wedged on a concrete garden‑fence foundation. He sustained minor injuries and was taken to the University Hospital Tulln. The volunteer fire brigade of Neuaigen secured the site, managed traffic and, with a tow vehicle, extracted the car; the tractor continued on its own.
