Lower Silesian hospitals to undergo artistic redesign for pediatric wards
The Lower Silesian Voivodeship Self-government and the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław have launched the ‘Pomaluj Mój Świat’ (Paint My World) project. The initiative aims to transform the atmosphere of pediatric wards in four hospitals across the Lower Silesian region to reduce stress and anxiety for young patients.
With a budget of 1 million PLN allocated for 2026, students from the Academy of Art and Design will create artistic wall arrangements for hospital corridors and rooms. These designs will be tailored to the specific character of each ward and the age of the children. Following a selection process where winning concepts are announced on September 30, students will oversee the artistic implementation of their designs.
The project involves four medical facilities: the T. Marciniak Lower Silesian Specialist Hospital in Wrocław, the E. Biernacki Specialist Gynecological and Obstetric Hospital in Wałbrzych, the Jelenia Góra Valley Provincial Hospital Center, and the A. Falkiewicz Specialist Hospital in Wrocław.
