Lower-tier football clubs compete in FA Cup preliminary rounds

In Ghana, clubs from the lower divisions are competing in the 2026/27 MTN FA Cup to secure a place in the Round of 64. This stage offers Division One and Division Two teams the chance to face top-flight Premier League sides. The 18 Ghana Premier League clubs are currently exempt from the preliminary rounds.

In England, the FA Vase 2026-27 has entered its second round. The round features 128 clubs, including those exempted from the previous season's fourth round. Notable matchups include past winners North Shields hosting Brigg Town and Rugby Town traveling to face Southwell City. Several clubs are making their debut in this round, including Hertford Heath and AFC Greenwich Borough.
