Lowe's announces tool sales and new Kobalt product offerings

Lowe's is offering various discounts on power tools, garden equipment, and appliances. Notable deals include a DEWALT 20V 4-Tool Combo Kit priced at $399, a Kobalt 302-piece mechanics tool set for $99, and significant savings on Whirlpool refrigerators.

In addition to these sales, Lowe's has introduced new Kobalt 24V cordless power tools marketed as “value” offerings. These new models appear to have lower technical specifications than existing versions at the same price point. For instance, a new Kobalt impact driver kit delivers 1800 in-lbs of max torque compared to 2000 in-lbs in the current model, and includes a 45W charger instead of the standard 85W charger. Similarly, a new Kobalt cordless drill kit offers 500 in-lbs of torque and 1800 RPM, whereas the existing $99 kit provides 850 in-lbs and 2000 RPM.
