Lozova business center hit by dual Russian strikes

Russian forces launched two strikes on a business center located in a densely populated residential area of Lozova, in the Kharkiv region, on Wednesday. The attacks caused the building to catch fire and the resulting blast waves damaged surrounding high-rise residential buildings.

Lozova Mayor Serhiy Zelenskiy stated that the second strike was carried out after a pause, suggesting a deliberate attempt to maximize casualties by targeting the area during working hours near shops, medical, and social institutions. Video footage captured individuals jumping from the windows of the burning building to escape the flames.

At least 10 people have been injured, including several in serious condition. Emergency services are operating in emergency mode as medical professionals work to stabilize the victims. The mayor has urged residents to remain vigilant, use basements for protection, and avoid gathering at strike sites to allow rescue teams to work unimpeded.
