LP gas prices fall in Veracruz and Boca del Río, Mexico

The Comisión Nacional de Energía (CNE) set the maximum price for liquefied petroleum gas (LP gas) at 18.68 pesos per kilogram (including VAT) and 10.09 pesos per litre for the week of 2 – 8 August 2026 in the municipalities of Veracruz and Boca del Río. This marks a reduction from the previous week’s ceiling of 19.00 pesos per kilogram and 10.26 pesos per litre, saving roughly 0.32 pesos per kilogram and 0.17 pesos per litre. For a typical household that purchases a 20‑kilogram cylinder, the price cut translates to a modest saving of a little over six pesos. The new rates apply uniformly throughout the seven‑day period and distributors may not charge above the ceiling.
