LPL Financial reports $2.6 trillion in client assets
LPL Financial Holdings Inc. reported significant growth in its August 2026 monthly activity report, with total client assets reaching $2.60 trillion. This represents a $55.3 billion, or 2.2%, increase from the end of July. The company's organic net new assets for the month totaled $13.5 billion, reflecting a 6.4% annualized growth rate.
Advisory assets now account for 60.8% of total assets, up from 57.8% a year ago. Total client cash balances stood at $54.4 billion at the end of August.

Several financial institutions have updated their outlooks on the company: JPMorgan Chase & Co. raised its price target to $428.00 with an 'overweight' rating, while Keefe, Bruyette & Woods increased its target to $390.00 with an 'outperform' rating.
