L’Équipe announces major programming changes for L’Équipe du Soir

The French sports channel L’Équipe is implementing significant programming changes for its upcoming season. While shows such as ‘L’Équipe de Choc’ with France Pierron and ‘L’Équipe de Greg’ with Grégory Ascher return this Monday, the flagship talk show ‘L’Équipe du Soir’ will undergo a major restructuring.

Hosted by Olivier Ménard, ‘L’Équipe du Soir’ will reduce its broadcast frequency to four days a week, airing Tuesday through Friday. Editorial director Maël Seror stated the decision aims to focus on higher-audience time slots. The revamp includes a new roster of commentators; notable departures include Johan Micoud and Eric Blanc, with Héloïse Kane and Nicole Abar joining the team.

The restructuring has led to a significant turnover of long-standing contributors. Veteran reporter Vincent Duluc confirmed his departure from the program via social media, noting that many regular contributors are no longer being invited back. Remaining regular staff members include Virginie Sainsily, Pia Clemens, Dave Appadoo, Ludovic Obraniak, and Vikash Dhorasoo.
