Lőrinc Mészáros linked to 39 billion forint private jet fleet

Newly released airport documents reveal that Hungarian businessman Lőrinc Mészáros is linked to three luxury Bombardier private jets with a combined purchase value of approximately 39 billion forints.

The fleet includes two Challenger models and one Global 6500. The Bombardier Challenger 350 (registration OE-HUG) has been in use since early 2023 and is currently listed for sale for approximately 16 million USD. The second aircraft, a Challenger 3500 (OE-HOZ), arrived in Budapest in July 2024 at a cost of roughly 9.2 billion forints. Documents indicate this aircraft was designated for use by Mészáros, his family, and MBH Bank CEO Zsolt Barna.

The most expensive jet, a Bombardier Global 6500, arrived from Canada in September 2024. Originally expected under registration OE-LOT, it now operates under the registration OE-LAD. This aircraft, valued at over 22 billion forints, is reportedly owned through a wealth management company, Abraham Goldmann (AGBVK Bizalmi Vagyonkezelő Zrt.), rather than MBH Bank.

According to the documents, Mészáros, his family, and Zsolt Barna are permitted to fly on these aircraft using preferential owner rates rather than standard market pricing.
