LRT Council issues warning to Director Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė

The LRT Council has issued a formal warning to General Director Monika Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė following a violation regarding the non-disclosure of service providers' personal data in public program procurement reports. Council Chairman Mindaugas Jurkynas stated that the violation is not considered severe enough for dismissal, comparing it to a “yellow card.” However, he noted that if a similar violation occurs within the next 12 months, the Council will consider terminating her contract.

Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė defended the decision not to disclose the data initially, suggesting that doing so could have led to claims from the service providers. She characterized the Council's decision as “psychological pressure.”

The vote was not unanimous. Council member Deimantas Jastramskis reported that four members did not participate in the vote because they disagreed with the resolution's wording, claiming it contradicted the LRT law and the Labor Code.
