LS Electric and Korea Midang Power partner on renewable energy
LS Electric and Korea Midang Power have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly develop and expand renewable energy projects in South Korea. The partnership aims to cover the entire value chain, including project discovery, investment, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), the supply of essential power equipment such as transformers, and power plant operations.
The collaboration will initially focus on onshore wind power, with plans to expand into solar energy and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the future. Under the agreement, LS Electric will consider participating in EPC for joint projects and receiving priority for equipment application, while Korea Midang Power will look to prioritize the supply of LS Electric’s core equipment for its own independent projects.
This partnership combines the power generation development and operational expertise of Korea Midang Power with the EPC capabilities and power equipment technology of LS Electric to enhance competitiveness in the domestic renewable energy sector.
