LS ELECTRIC secures $165.7 million AI data center contract in North America
LS ELECTRIC has secured an expanded contract to supply power equipment for an artificial intelligence (AI) data center to a major North American big tech company. The contract value has more than doubled to approximately $165.72 million (230.9 billion KRW) following a request from the client to increase the supply volume.
The agreement involves the supply of 38kV high-voltage distribution systems. This expansion builds upon an initial contract signed in June, which was valued at approximately $70.43 million. The company attributed the increased order to its ability to meet strict quality standards and delivery timelines, establishing trust through previous successful deliveries.
To support its North American operations, LS ELECTRIC utilizes local production bases, including its Utah facility and the Bastrop campus in Texas, to ensure supply stability and competitive lead times. The company plans to leverage this momentum to expand its presence in the AI data center power infrastructure market, focusing on next-generation technologies such as direct current (DC) distribution.
