LS ELECTRIC to supply 168.9 billion won in power solutions to U.S. big tech

LS ELECTRIC has signed a long-term supply agreement (LTA) worth approximately 168.9 billion won (125.23 million USD) to provide power distribution solutions to a major U.S. big tech company for North American data centers.

The contract covers the 2027 supply volume for a two-year period spanning 2027 to 2028. The scope for 2028 will be determined through further discussions with the client. The primary product being supplied is 38kV high-voltage switchgear, which is essential for distributing high-voltage power to various facilities within a data center and protecting equipment during power irregularities.

Given the high reliability and quality required for AI data centers that operate 24/7, LS ELECTRIC is also discussing the additional supply of high-end power equipment, including low-voltage switchgear, distribution transformers, and Ring Main Units (RMU). To support these demands, the company utilizes its localized value chain in the United States, centered around its Utah and Texas facilities, to manage sales, design, production, and service.
