LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun pushes for AI integration in manufacturing

LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun has emphasized the importance of integrating artificial intelligence into manufacturing and office environments to drive productivity and create new customer value. Speaking at the 5th ‘LS Future Day’ held at the LS Tower in Anyang, Koo urged employees to embrace the rapid pace of technological change rather than fear it.

The event, themed ‘Beyond AI Exploration to Business Impact,’ focused on applying accumulated technologies to actual business operations to increase profitability. During the forum, 19 projects were presented in fields such as new business, technology, and innovation. Notable projects included an AI-based cable manufacturing master system and a high-reliability power protection platform for AI data centers.

LS Group has used the Future Day initiative since 2022 to discover over 500 ideas in sectors like batteries, next-generation power solutions, and AI. Some of these ideas have already transitioned into commercial products, such as LS Electric’s solar power integrated service platform. Other projects, including LS Mtron’s development of small tractors tailored for the North American market, are currently undergoing business model verification.
