LSDM accuses Mickoski of stalling North Macedonia's EU path

The LSDM has accused North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski of obstructing the country’s path toward European Union integration. The party claims that North Macedonia has fallen behind its neighbors in the euro-integration process, noting that Montenegro has closed 21 of 33 chapters and aims to conclude negotiations this year, while Albania continues to make progress.

LSDM asserts that the stagnation is driven by Russian interests and a reluctance to confront judicial issues, specifically regarding the European Prosecutor's Office. The party emphasized that candidates must cooperate with the prosecution before membership, rather than after. They criticized the government for failing to address state looting, mismanagement of European funds, and interference in the judiciary, stating that reforms have been suspended and deadlines have passed.
