LSDM leader calls for early elections in North Macedonia

Venko Filipçe, leader of the LSDM, has called for the declaration of early parliamentary elections in North Macedonia. Filipçe stated that his party will not serve as an alibi for Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski to delay the process, noting that the government holds a two-thirds majority and should proceed with elections.

Filipçe criticized the current administration for failing to deliver on promises regarding improved standards in schools, hospitals, and support for farmers and pensioners. He further alleged that corruption is flourishing, citing specific cases involving state lotteries and Artan Grubi. He also claimed that approximately 3,000 families have been displaced, resulting in a loss of 3,000 first-grade students.

Additionally, Filipçe accused Minister Sanja Bozhinovska of involvement in a corrupt scheme within the energy sector involving electricity trading and meters. He alleged that business and political interests are being intertwined to the detriment of national wealth and the citizens of Macedonia.
