LÖSEV conducts awareness campaigns for Leukemia Children's Week

The Foundation for Children with Leukemia, Health and Education (LÖSEV) is conducting various awareness activities to mark Leukemia Children's Week, which runs from November 2 to November 8.

In Samsun, the foundation's local office is using orange-colored symbols, such as handmade orange pinwheels, to spread messages of hope and raise social awareness. In Istanbul, LÖSEV volunteers held a dance event on Bağdat Avenue to the song ‘Sallayalım Dünyayı’ to emphasize that leukemia is a treatable disease. The foundation also plans to illuminate iconic landmarks, including the Galata Tower and the Osmangazi Bridge, in orange. Internationally, the campaign aims to light up Niagara Falls in orange on November 7.

In Bursa, ZEISS Türkiye and Beta Optik collaborated to support the vision health of children with leukemia. As part of World Sight Day, the initiative provided free eye examinations at Osmangazi Eye Hospital to promote educational equality. Children identified with vision needs may receive ZEISS glasses to assist their learning processes.
