LÖSEV reports high transparency and 94% leukemia treatment success rate
The Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LÖSEV) has released its 2024 activity and audit reports, confirming the organization's compliance with its founding principles and financial transparency. Official audits conducted by chief inspectors from the General Directorate of Foundations under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism verified that the foundation's activities align with its stated goals and that revenues are primarily directed toward the health, education, and social needs of leukemia and cancer patients.
Dr. Üstün Ezer, Chairman of the Board of LÖSANTE Adult and Children's Hospital, noted that administrative and maintenance costs remain low relative to total expenditures, ensuring resources reach those in need. Furthermore, an evaluation conducted under MASAK guidelines categorized the foundation's aid—including cash assistance, medical support, and rehabilitation—as ‘risk-free,’ finding no violations of regulatory guidelines.
LÖSEV reported a significant increase in leukemia treatment success rates, rising from approximately 20% to 94%, with a long-term goal of reaching 100%. The foundation continues to provide free medical services through LÖSANTE Hospital and offers social support, such as accommodation for families at the LÖSEV Natural Life Village in Ankara.
