Śląsk Wrocław signs Croatian defender Jan Jurčec

Śląsk Wrocław has officially signed 25-year-old Croatian defender Jan Jurčec to bolster its defensive line. The move comes as a replacement for Michał Rosiak, who recently transferred to FC Twente for one million euros.

Jurčec joins from the Ukrainian club Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in a deal valued at approximately 250,000 euros. The player, a former Croatian youth international, holds Polish citizenship through his mother. He has signed a contract with the club running until June 30, 2029.

Sporting Director Rafał Grodzicki noted that Jurčec is a versatile asset capable of playing as a right-back, left wing-back, or winger. Jurčec’s previous experience includes stints in Croatia, Austria, and Ukraine, where he was regarded as one of the top right-backs in the Ukrainian league.
