LSU football awards No. 18 jersey to center Braelin Moore
LSU football has awarded the prestigious No. 18 jersey to fifth-year senior center Braelin Moore. The honor, which recognizes selfless leadership, excellence, and character, is being bestowed upon Moore, a transfer from Virginia Tech.
Due to NCAA numbering regulations for offensive linemen, Moore will continue to wear his No. 61 uniform but will feature a commemorative No. 18 jersey patch. He is only the second offensive lineman in program history to receive this distinction, following Lloyd Cushenberry in 2019.
Additionally, the program has selected tight end Trey'Dez Green and linebacker Whit Weeks to share the No. 7 jersey, an honor reserved for the team’s most explosive playmakers. The presentation of the No. 18 was conducted during a team meeting with the participation of former players, including Jacob Hester.
