LSU football players earn SEC honors after victory over Auburn

LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt and edge rusher Jordan Ross have been named SEC Offensive Player of the Week and SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week, respectively, following the Tigers' 38-17 win over Auburn.

Leavitt recorded a career-high 378 passing yards and three touchdowns, adding a rushing touchdown for a total of four scores. His performance marks the second time he has received this conference honor this season. He joined Joe Burrow as the only LSU quarterbacks to record back-to-back games with over 30 completions.

On the defensive side, Ross contributed four tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks. The LSU defense limited Auburn to 270 total yards, including a season-low 66 rushing yards. The victory marks the largest margin of victory for LSU over Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
