LSU linebacker Whit Weeks sidelined indefinitely with broken leg
LSU senior linebacker and defensive captain Whit Weeks has suffered a broken lower right leg, sidelining him indefinitely. The injury occurred during a 35-6 victory over Texas A&M. Weeks, who has been a leading tackler for the Tigers this season, left the game in a walking boot and on crutches.
Coach Lane Kiffin noted that the injury timeline remains uncertain, with updates expected shortly. This incident adds to a significant string of injuries for the LSU roster this season. Other notable players sidelined include safety DaShawn Spears, who is out for the year with a torn knee ligament, and tight end Trey’Dez Green, who is out indefinitely with a knee injury.
Additional players, including Charles Ross, Gabe Reliford, Aidan Anding, and Phillip Wright III, have also faced season-ending or long-term injuries. In Weeks’ absence, the team is expected to rely on players such as Davhon Keys and Tylen Singleton.
