LSU Tiger Stadium sets record $2.3 million in concession sales

LSU Tigers fans set an all-time record for concession sales at Tiger Stadium during the 2026-27 season opener against the Clemson Tigers. Net sales from main concourse concessions reached $2.3 million, a figure that includes taxes and credit card fees but excludes premium suites and club areas.

The record-breaking sales occurred following a significant lightning delay that pushed the scheduled 6:45 p.m. kickoff to nearly 9 p.m. During the wait, fans purchased large quantities of food and beverages.

Michelob Ultra (16 oz) was the top-selling item, with 41,138 cans sold for $450,890 in net sales. Tiger Water ranked second with 33,549 units sold, totaling $125,975. For food, the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich was the most popular item, with 9,745 sandwiches purchased.
