LSU defeats No. 23 Texas A&M 35-6
No. 10 LSU defeated No. 23 Texas A&M 35-6 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Quarterback Sam Leavitt led the Tigers with 312 passing yards and two touchdowns, both caught by Jackson Harris. Despite suffering a hamstring injury during the game, Leavitt continued to play, eventually being replaced by Landen Clark in the fourth quarter to prevent further aggravation.
LSU head coach Lane Kiffin utilized an aggressive fourth-down strategy, including a successful conversion that set up a 57-yard touchdown pass to Harris. The Tigers' defense also performed strongly, recording multiple sacks and limiting Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed, who completed 10 of 26 passes for 106 yards.
While the victory provides momentum for LSU, the team faces significant injury concerns. Linebacker Whit Weeks is sidelined with a leg fracture, and linebacker Charles Ross II has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL.
