LSU to add former Saints defensive tackle Zxavian Harris
LSU is expected to add defensive tackle Zxavian Harris to its 2026 roster. Harris, a 6-foot-8, 330-pound lineman, previously played four seasons at Ole Miss under Lane Kiffin before signing with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent following the 2026 NFL Draft.
After being waived by the Saints on August 8, Harris is seeking to return to college football. His move is facilitated by a recent Louisiana court ruling that granted players from the 2022 recruiting class an additional year of eligibility. Harris joins other former players, such as tight end Dae’Quan Wright, who are utilizing this ruling to return to the NCAA.
During his tenure at Ole Miss, Harris earned All-SEC recognition, recording 58 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and three sacks in the 2025 season. His addition provides veteran depth to the LSU defensive line ahead of their upcoming season.
