László Egyed receives professional award for dairy industry contributions

László Egyed, the founder and owner of FINO-FOOD Kft., has received the ‘For the Hungarian Dairy Sector’ professional award. The honor was presented by Szabolcs Bóna, the Minister of Agriculture and Food, during the XV. Dairy Sector Conference held in Eger.

The award, granted by the Dairy Professional Organization and Product Council, recognizes Egyed’s decades of work in shaping the development of the domestic dairy industry. He was cited for his professional commitment, forward-looking decisions, and dedication to fair cooperation.

Egyed began his entrepreneurial career during the transition period following the change in regime, a challenging era for the Hungarian dairy sector. His leadership was instrumental in saving the Tamási dairy plant and restarting the dairy industry in Kaposvár. Under his direction, FINO-FOOD Kft. has grown into a significant food industry enterprise employing over 220 people, with revenues increasing more than tenfold over 18 years.
