Oklahoma City Thunder trades Luguentz Dort to Atlanta Hawks in three‑team deal
The Oklahoma City Thunder, Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks completed a three‑team trade. The Thunder sent All‑Defensive wing Luguentz Dort to the Hawks in exchange for three heavily protected second‑round draft picks. The Hawks also received guard Ryan Nembhard, while they sent former No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher to the Mavericks.
The deal helps Oklahoma City shed roughly $224 million in salary and luxury‑tax obligations, allowing the franchise to fall below the NBA’s second‑apron and generate a $17 million trade exception. Atlanta gains a premier perimeter defender, freeing more than $40 million in cap space for the next summer. Dallas acquires the former No. 1 pick to develop alongside veterans such as Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg.
